About Bradley’s Truck Service

In 1986, Michael Bradley leased a small repair shop at 115 W. 31st Street in Charlotte, North Carolina, and operated Bradley’s Truck Service, Inc. with one employee. By 1990, his business had grown so much that he purchased his first wrecker to bring customers to his shop, rather than continue to use an outside service. After the purchase of 1.3 acres of property in October of 1991, the business operation was moved to its current location.

The next phase came in 2000, when the business expanded to include Bradley’s Wrecker Service, Inc. Within a year, the city of Charlotte awarded the company with a Zone Wrecker contract, partnering the company with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department for towing and impounding duties.

Bradley’s has grown from 1 employee to 30+ from its beginning in 1986 to the present. Along with that growth in employees, there has been a growth in company assets: Bradley’s presently has 13 wreckers at its disposal. The most recent business acquisition was the purchase of 5 acres next to the truck service – formerly known as the Knights Inn – located at 2909 Boxmeer Drive. This growth is driven by an immense customer base, including 100+ customer accounts and a wide variety of cash customers as well.
